About the AADX

The Australian Agricultural Data Exchange (AADX) was designed by the agricultural industry to enable data from disparate sources to be shared, discovered, merged, and re-used in a secure cloud environment.

Our Case Studies

Important to note that these are just examples of how the AADX will operate.

Cool Soil

Charles Sturt University (CSU)

The Cool Soil Initiative supports farmers in exploring their practices to improve the health of their soil, increase their yield, and reduce on-farm greenhouse gas emissions.

This case study is aiming to demonstrate how a platform can integrate with the AADX to make use of datasets available via the exchange, minimising the time, effort and cost involved in sourcing similar datasets from multiple disparate sources.

Transition Hub

CSIRO

Sharing, integrating, and applying research and practical learnings for engaging communities and informing transition pathways to a net-zero future.

This case study aims to demonstrate how the AADX can be the foundation for a community to aggregate trusted knowledge & learnings and share it in a consumable way to different audiences.

Sheep Sustainability Framework

Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA)
Australian Wool Innovation (AWI)

The Sheep Sustainability Framework presents data and trends to measure the Australian sheep meat and wool industry’s sustainability performance in key areas such as animal care, the environment, economic resilience, and people and community.

This case study aims to demonstrate how the AADX can facilitate the reduction of manual data collection processes. Datasets that have historically been manually sourced will be, processed, analysed, and made available via the AADX.

The AADX connection and available data will enhance existing reporting tools and platforms.
